Description:

There are over 900 publications that include both written and audiovisual materials. Some topics include biomedical ethics, complementary medicine, nutrition, public health, nursing, psychiatry, women's health, cultures of the world, intercultural communication, gestures, sign language, geriatric medicine, folk medicine, ethnic and racial issues across cultures, diversity, herbal medicine, translation, medical interpretation, legal interpretation, medical dictionaries in Spanish, French, Italian, Chinese, Korean, Hmong, Vietnamese, Japanese, etc. All materials are available to health, social service support staff, and community members in San Diego County. Program Name:
Homeless Program
Description:

This is a program for homeless individuals, adults and children. This program includes up to (3) visits annually in a calendar year.  Visits, lab and meds covered. Case Management services also available. Provide transportation from migrant camps and Brother Bennos to the clinic.

Program Name:
Reach Out and Read
Description:

Providers educate parents on the benefits of early literacy and give a child a free book to take home and continue reading.  In addition, volunteer-led reading circles in the waiting area of VCC clinics are provided.
