Vista Community Clinic is breaking ground on a new facility! The 12,000 sq ft clinic will offer pediatrics, family medicine and obstetrics services as well as increase patient access to laboratory, pharmacy and health education programs.

It will be a healthcare safety net for over 16,000 local residents.

Why is this new clinic important?

The San Diego County Board of Supervisors forecast a growth in demand such that by 2025 an additional twenty-one community clinics will be required in the county. The new facility located on Grapevine will replace a smaller, leased facility and will help meet the forecasted increase in demand by serving an additional 7,000 to 8,000 patients, for an annual site total of 16,000 patients in 50,000 visits

Why is it on Grapevine?

Grapevine is situated near the border between Vista and Oceanside. The surrounding neighborhood is a federally designated Health Professional Shortage Area, indicating an extreme shortage of medical professionals available and willing to serve low-income, uninsured residents. This area has also seen elevated rates of teen pregnancy and other serious health concerns.
