Nurse Practitioner Sarah McCarthy enjoys working with a diverse population. She came to VCC because of the wide range of services we offer to provide patients with well-rounded and comprehensive care. Sarah wants to be part of a team that makes a positive impact in patients’ lives and strives to do that for each of her patients.
For Sarah it is important that patients feel empowered by being a part of the decision-making process during their care. She wants patients to know their voices are being heard and their needs are being met so when they leave the office, they feel confident that they are on the right track toward health and wellness.
In order to make good decisions about healthcare, patients must feel comfortable asking questions, coming into the office, and understanding their plan of care. Sarah works hard to ensure that patients are getting the preventative screenings they need to maintain good health as well as to provide education and open communication to patients with current medical conditions.
Sarah came over to sunny California from the East Coast with her 2 daughters, husband, two dogs, and one turtle. They enjoy going to the beach as often as possible, eating “all the ice cream,” as she says, laughing, and napping.
