In simple terms, “behavioral health” is how a person thinks, feels and acts when faced with life’s situations. Sometimes life can get difficult and our emotions or thoughts can be overwhelming. If you or someone you know is having difficulty behaving in healthy ways with others or themselves, they may benefit from behavioral health services.
Types of Conditions
- Depression (feeling very sad or down)
- Anxiety (fears or worrying most or all of the time)
- Suicidal thoughts
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Difficulty controlling anger or violence
- Alcohol or drug abuse
- Changes in mood from very high to very low
- Difficulty sleeping or sleeping too much
Counseling and Therapy
- Psychiatry services
- One-on-one therapy with a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Identification of mental or behavioral health issues
- Coping and support skills
- Referral to support groups and other services
